Hello from Canada!  We arrived on the 4th and have been settling in since. The first couple of days took a while especially with Eden waking up at 1 AM, dancing and asking to play. But she seems to be getting back to her regular schedule now. We are very much enjoying Christmas in Canada, with all the lights, festivity, and advent programs. This month we will be reconnecting with our Canadian church family at Living Hope CRC, as well as other friends and family. And at the end  of the month we will even get the chance to meet another local family joining the Logos Hope at the same time as us. Exciting times ahead! 안녕하세요!  지난 4일 저희 가족은 앤드류의 고향인 벤쿠버, 캐나다에 잘 도착했습니다!  감사하게도 이사하고 여행하는 중에 아프지 않고 순조롭게 도착할 수 있었습니다. 지금은 사람을 만나며 앤드류의 가족과 함께 보내고 있습니다. 처음에 이든이는 시차적응이 안되는지 새벽 1시에 일어나 놀자고 덩실덩실 춤추며 말똥말똥한 눈으로 잠 깨우기도 했었죠 ㅎㅎㅎ 캐나다에서는 여기저기서 크리스마스 분위기를 물씬 풍겨내고 있습니다. 크리스마스 장식과 캐롤이 울려퍼지고 텔레비전을 틀면 크리스마스 프로그램으로 가득합니다. 앤드류는 6년 만에 가족과 성탄절을 보내는지라 정말 행복해 합니다. 가족 및 교회분들과 만나 소통하며 몇년 동안 갖지 못했던 시간을 가지며 마음의 따스함을 느끼고 있습니다. 저희는 이번 달에 앤드류의 모교회인 리빙호프교회를 섬기며 각종 행사에 동참합니다. 이달 말에는 오엠모임을 통해 로고스호프로 가는 또 다른 가족과 만나서 교제할 예정입니다.  함께 마음으로 동참해 주시고 아래의 기도제목으로 빌어주세요. 1. 선교의 마음을 잘 준비하며 주님께서 주신 비전에 더욱 집중할 수 있도록 2. 12월 30일까지 후원금(첫 2달 선교비와 항공티켓)이 모아지도록 3. 타지에 있는 동안 특히 이든이가 건강할 수 있도록  기도제목이 있으면 알려주세요. 저희도 함께 기도하겠습니다. 앤드류, 은비, 이든 드림 국민은행 440290-29-000512 예금주 (사)한국오엠_송은비앤드류

Good morning everyone! In one week we'll be back in Canada. I'm so excited that we get to spend Christmas with my Canadian family this year - first time as a family, and first time for me in 6 years. The move, however, means that this is going to be one crazy week for which we'd love to have your prayers: - For our adventurous, crawling baby on a 10+ hour flight (Dec. 4) - and for us and the other passengers - For our family here as we say goodbye - This Sunday I have been asked to share a sermon at church - Today, right now, I'm on my way to a local high school to support their campus's Christian missions group at a school festival. - For all my students as they transition to new teachers - especially my tutors with whom we've developed close friendships (and thank God for good teachers replacing me). What have you been doing for the past few years? Four years ago Grace and I met aboard the Logos Hope while it was in Korea. We became friends and after I left the ship 3 ½ years ago we began dating. 3 years and 3 days ago I proposed to Grace – and thank God she said yes! Since then we have been living in South Korea. Grace continued her career as an elementary school teacher and I completed a masters degree in international studies alongside teaching English. We have also been able to serve our church (through translating, Sunday school, English camps, and more) and Operation Mobilization Korea (supporting the Anyang university ministry program). Where are you going? We will be joining the Logos Hope in Chile at the end of January, 2019. 안녕하세요? 날씨가 선선하고 단풍도 들어 나들이 하기 좋은 때인 것 같습니다. 저와 앤드류는 4년전 이때 쯤 교제를 시작해 결혼한 후 지금은 예쁜 딸, 이든이도 생겼답니다. 저와 앤드류는 처음 만났을 때부터 로고스호프 선교선에 대한 열정이 컸습니다. 언젠가는 로고스호프선으로 다시 돌아가 함께 섬기고 싶었는데 최근에 로고스호프선에서 요청이 있어서 생각보다 빨리 배로 가게 되었습니다. 2019년 2월부터 사역할 것이며, 앤드류는 첫 6개월간은 훈련을 받고 인사관계의 일을 할 것입니다. 60여개국에서 온 400 여명의 선교사들 대부분은 싱글이며 선교에 대한 열정이 넘치는 젊은이들인데 저와 앤드류는 그들과 한 가족을 맺으며 다방면에서 그들을 돕는 일을 할 것입니다. 이들이 문화의 다양성을 수용하는 것이 사역의 중요한 기반이 되는데 이는 로고스호프 선교선이 여러 나라를 다니며 선상 행사를 할 때에 배에 오는 손님들은 다양한 나라의 사람이 함께 평화롭게 지내는 것을 보며 하나님 나라를 배울 수 있는 기회가 주어주기 때문입니다. 이 새로운 모험이 기대되기도 하지만 두렵기도 합니다. 한국에서의 살림을 다 정리하고 방한칸 만한 캐빈(cabin)에서 살 짐만 챙겨서 떠나야 한답니다. 가족과의 연락은 배안의 인터넷이 원활할 때만 가능합니다. 또한 배안에서 돌도 안된 이든이를 키워야하는 숙제도 있습니다. 익숙하지 않은 곳에서 익숙하지 않은 부모의 역할과 선교사의 역할을 동시에 해내야 하는 부담감도 있습니다. 그러나 하나님께서 저희 가정을 선교선으로 부르셨다고 전심으로 믿으며 저희의 부족한 경험을 통해 다양한 문화권이 함께 하나님을 섬길수 있다는 비전을 보여주고 싶습니다. 저희 가정을 기도로 응원해 주시고 여정에 함께 해주시면 감사하겠습니다.

Greetings from a cool, crisp South Korea!  Andrew and I love the changing of seasons, especially from summer to fall. And this fall there is another exciting change taking place. We have been invited back to Operation Mobilisation’s ship, Logos Hope! We have been talking about serving aboard the Logos Hope ever since we first met, believing that God has called us to further ministry with the ship. To our surprise, we’ve been called us back sooner than we had expected. We have been invited to return to the ship in February 2019.   Our roles will primarily be to support and encourage the crew. Many are single, young people coming straight out of high school or university. While they are often overflowing with a passion for Christ and missions work, the new-to-them and incredibly culturally diverse environment aboard the Logos Hope (over 60 nationalities are represented in the 400 crew members) can present various challenges.
